Ponggok Village is a tourist village in Polanharjo District, Klaten Regency which has natural potential in the form of clear, fresh and abundant spring water with Umbul Ponggok as a mainstay tourist attraction. Apart from that, Ponggok Village also offers educational tours related to Village and BUMDes governance, tourism management, fisheries cultivation, maggot cultivation, food security, agriculture, waste management and MSMEs. This method is used to describe the development of village potential towards a tourist village in Ponggok Village, Polanharjo District, Klaten Regency. In this qualitative research, researchers carry out data processing and analysis techniques through the process of systematically searching and compiling data from interviews, observations and documentation as well as making conclusions and using the SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, treath) analysis method approach, all data is reviewed together to get strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The strategies implemented by the village government are the Strategy for Creating a Tourism Village and the Strategy for Developing a Tourism Village by the village government involving targeted planning and community participation. Apart from that, strategies such as community empowerment and utilization of natural resources are also key to implementing effective development.
