Abstract

This research was conducted in Karyabuana Village which experienced socio-cultural changes from a village dominated by rice and vegetable farming to a tourist village dominated by various kinds of tourism object development and other supporting facilities owned by investors. The research method used is a qualitative research method. Socio-cultural changes that occur include: 1) Decreased social interaction; 2) Reduced social solidarity; 3) The socialization process is influenced by elements from outside the Cihideung Village community; 4) Less social control and care; 4) The disappearance of customs; 5) Increasing the existence of traditional arts; 6) Livelihoods are becoming heterogeneous; 7) The occurrence of social mobility.
